Can the entrants ask or inadvertently receive information from passing ships about their position relative to other entrants?

YES!! absolutely anything at all...and everything possible provided it is a NON ASSOCIATED ship or yacht...so they can recieve positions, any weather forecast so if the ship can get online and get windy the entrant can have a detailed conversation with the ship about what is happening etc...if they want to get on the GGR website and tracker they can get all information they want BUT tow things are always banned...one is weahter routing and the other is LAT/LONG positions of the fleet...the reason we allow anything is because this was and is always the tradition of the sea and mariners same back in 1968 so all entrants will talk to ships as often as possible.. ..it has to be a NON Associated SHIP SO NO SCHEDULES ARE SET UP WITH FRIENDS OR SHIPS OF OTHER COMPANIES THEY KNOW ETC..THAT WOULD BE CHEATING..

On Edwards boat tour we see the nav table and what looks to be a DSC VHF, is their position disabled ?

Thanks, really enjoying the updates. Would be nice to see RKJ's track as well as Bernard's but can understand why you are doing it this way.
